Tracks & Badges
• Clearing the Interview is Mandatory for Earning the Badge and respective Bonus Miles
• Badges are Sequential — No Skipping: Badges within a Track must be earned in order. A student must complete Novice before attempting Specialist, Specialist before Expert, and so on. It is not possible to attempt a higher badge level without first earning the preceding one.
• Badge is Confirmed Only After ALL Required Skill Levels Are Passed: Completion of individual Skill Levels does not guarantee a badge. A Track badge is only officially awarded once a student has passed every Skill Level stipulated for that badge tier, including the mandatory Interview Round where applicable.
• Tracks and Badge levels currently marked as 'Locked' will be progressively unlocked. Specific criteria, Skill Level requirements, and unlock timelines for locked badges (Expert, Master, Grand Master) will be communicated by NIAT separately.
• NIAT reserves the right to revise Track structures, Badge requirements, Miles allocations, and Interview Round criteria at any point during the programme period.

• The highest score of the all the attempts will be calculated.
• Only students who receive a 'Gold' or 'Silver' result in a Skill Level will have the next level unlocked. A 'Try Again' result does not unlock higher levels. Students must re-attempt the same level and achieve at least a Silver before progressing.
• Incase of re-attempts, should maintain a minimum of 5 Days gap for the respective Skill Level
• NIAT reserves the right to revise Skill Level content, scoring, Miles allocations, and attempt rules at any time during the program period

Why a student sees a skill level:
• Starting point — Every student begins at Level 1 for each skill. Level 1 is always visible.
• The student cleared the previous level — Getting a Gold or Silver in a level unlocks the next one. For example, clearing Level 1 with Gold or Silver makes Level 2 appear.
• Silver gives a choice — If a student got Silver, they can either move up to the next level or re-attempt the same level to aim for Gold (the best score is always kept).
Why a student doesn't see a skill level:
• Previous level not cleared yet — The student needs Gold or Silver on the level before it. A "Try Again" result means the student needs to re-attempt and pass first.
• Cooldown period — There's a mandatory 5-day gap between re-attempts of the same skill level. If a student is in cooldown, the level may show a notice instead of a booking option.
• Admin has locked it — Some levels (like Expert) may be locked for everyone until a certain date, regardless of the student's progress.
• Campus restriction — Students primarily see contest slots for their own campus.
Other key rules:
• Once a student books a slot, it cannot be modified or cancelled.
• Students cannot book overlapping time slots on the same day.
• A student cannot have more than one active booking for the same skill and level.
• Miles are earned based on the student's performance (Gold earns the most, then Silver).

Score Bonus Miles
• Each milestone on a platform is treated independently. A student who achieves LeetCode 1600 and later LeetCode 1800 may claim Bonus Miles for both - each milestone is credited separately.
• Bonus Miles are not awarded automatically. Students must submit valid proof of milestone completion via the GRIT Dashboard. The verification process and accepted proof formats will be communicated by NIAT. Unverified claims will not be processed.
• For team-based competitions (ISRO Robotics, SIH, NIAT Makers Conclave), each eligible team member receives the full Bonus Miles individually, subject to proof of participation and NIAT's verification.
• The list of qualifying platforms, events, and milestones will be updated progressively. NIAT may add new categories or revise existing Bonus Miles values at any point. Students will be notified of changes.
• In cases of dispute or ambiguity- including platform rating fluctuations, team composition queries, or proof validity- NIAT's assessment of eligibility shall be final and binding.
